RETURNING TO JESUS

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence." Colossians 1:15-18

ALL BECAUSE OF, ALL ABOUT, AND ALL FOR JESUS!

The Jesus Gathering is a grassroots journey back to the vision of Christ and His church. We are a multigenerational and multicultural coming together of the family of God. Fathers & mothers (from the Jesus People revival 1960s-70s, the underground house church movement, as well as those from other past & present moves of God) and a younger generation have joined hearts in returning to our First Love and His design for the church. Recovering the authenticity and power of the Early Church, we seek to let go of "the program" to genuinely welcome the Spirit’s Presence. In a land filled with platforms and performance, our heart is to remove the encumbrances of man, reposition our eyes on the Preeminent One, and thus restore Jesus as the Head of His church.

MODELING BIBLICAL, FIRST CENTURY STYLE COMMUNITY AND GATHERINGS AS LED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.

"I will build My church" Matthew 16:18

"In Christ the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit." Ephesians 2:21-22

The Jesus Gathering is not another conference or event. We are not a replica of the relics of men, reproduction of the western church show, or re-staging of the mortar of the flesh. Rather our humble aim is Jesus and to rediscover and recover His heart for His church. Defined and designed by Him. In agreement with the Holy Spirit's description of the church...

WE ARE A FAMILY NOT A FRANCHISE. WE ARE A BRIDE NOT A BUSINESS. WE ARE A BODY NOT A BRAND.

Returning to the humble place of prayer, repentance, holiness, and ministering to the Lord, we are retracing our steps back to the First Love.

Returning to the ancient paths of faith, selfless love, and obedience, we are relearning to once again follow Jesus.

Returning to the Father's heart for family and friendship, we are rediscovering the New Testament church.

Removing the fleshly excesses of catering to crowds, we are restoring authentic Kingdom community.

Rejecting the institutional mindsets that produce disciples of a system, we are receiving the simple instruction of Christ and making disciples of the Savior.

Together, we are returning to the presence, purity and power of the Holy Spirit.

Together, we are returning to Jesus. His desire, His design, His will for His church.

LIVING LIKE, LOVING LIKE, LOOKING LIKE JESUS!

Forever family, faith, fearless love, the fire of the Spirit, fervent prayer, fasting, fear of the Lord, friendship, fellowship, and love feasting. Simplicity, surrender, Scripture-fed and Spirit-led. A cross carrying community that exemplifies the real, raw, refreshing, reviving, risk-it-all, rich in love, redeemed of the Lord!

​The Jesus Gathering invites you to come and participate with us, as the priesthood of believers, in an unceasing, uninhibited, and unapologetic cry for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit and a recovery of His Wineskin. All too often a generation runs after the Wine at the expense of the Wineskin. Our hope, our prayer, is the Lord would grace us once again to rediscover and recover according to His desire and His design of the church. May we be that pliable Wineskin that receives and pours (not spill!) back out from the abundance of the Spirit.
