Gatherings
"Consider one another in order to stir up love and good works..." (Hebrews 10:24)
Our gathering times were birthed out of a simple desire to return to Jesus' desire and design of gathering together. Our heart is to see Him rightfully restored as the Head of His church. In a day where stages, platforms, tradition, and entertainment have usurped the Headship of Jesus (and thus dictated our times together as God's people,) we are intentionally exiting the program to embrace His Presence & Preeminence. In so doing, we are rediscovering and recovering Kingdom community, family, friendship, and what the Early Church meeting looked like. Knowing that the First Century church learned from the Lord and devoted themselves to His instruction, our heart is to genuinely honor Jesus in this as well. As seen through the book of Acts and the Epistles, we discover the early believers met very differently than our western model of today. It is clear from God's Word that the original church gatherings included a "love feast," open participation led by the Holy Spirit, and lots of Jesus fueled love! (1 Corinthians chapters 11-14)
In short, The Jesus Gathering is a genuine return to Jesus as the Head of His church. An authentic expression of the church as led by the Holy Spirit. A family functioning together under the headship of the Everlasting Father.
A letting go of the "program" to genuinely invite The Presence.
No fees, no formal registration, no faces on the flyer, no artificial additives or preservatives!
"How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification." (1 Corinthians 14:26)
Family, friendship, fellowship, love feasting, face down worship, fear of the Lord, fearless faith, forthright repentance, flow of the Spirit, freedom, fervent love--First Century flavor! This is not another consumer conference or church service where men are drawn by the popularity of names. Rather, a cross carrying community drawn by the Spirit to behold, bow, and bless One Name - JESUS! Together, we realign our focus, fervency, and faith onto and unto the Lord.
The Early Church was a FAMILY not a franchise. They were a BRIDE not a business. They were HIS BODY not a brand. Praise the Lord! They focused on Jesus and experienced the supernatural flow of the fruit and gifts of the Spirit. Fervent love was stirred and power was released. All to the glory of the Lamb!
At The Jesus Gathering, we seek to step out of the mold of men and step into the design of our Lord. De-robing from polished religion, we put on the blood-dyed garments of Christ. With love and humility we journey back to the ancient way of the cross and thus move forward in the Ancient of Days' heart.
All gatherings & meeting times are humbly surrendered to the Holy Spirit. Our focus will be on Jesus. There will not be a platform to promote men, but there will be the uplifting and promotion of the Preeminent One. These times are intentional to be a return to Jesus as the Head of His Church and release the Body to function as led by the Holy Spirit.
We'll gather all weekend long "love feasting" in remembrance of Him, and love flowing as the Spirit leads. As we minister to the Lord through prayer, adoration, worship, thanksgiving and praise, we will welcome the Spirit of God
to move freely among His people. As instructed by the Scriptures and led by the Holy Spirit, we will pray and sing with understanding and we will pray and sing with the spirit. From the overflow of the love and goodness of God, the gifts of the Spirit will edify, encourage, exhort, and equip the Body. The manifestation of the Holy Spirit for the profit of all! And by His grace, we will experience demonstrations of His power, healing, deliverance, prophetic words, deep conviction,
freeing repentance, heaven-fueled faith, fervent love, beautiful humility, unity in the Spirit, rivers of righteousness,
silencing shalom, explosive joy, the song of the Lord, the fear of the Lord,
simple obedience, intercessions, travails,
Kingdom instruction and empowerment!
Without apology, our heart is to first honor the Lord.
Therefore, our first ministry is to minister to Him.
And as we relearn how to minister to Him, Jesus ministers to and through His people.
We are not called to exalt the work of the Lord, but the Lord of the work.
May “the program" cease as we seek His Presence!
He is the Head of the body.
He is the Builder of the church.
He is the Bridegroom.
He is the Father of the family.
He is the All in all!
